July Community Connection

This month our intentions were to partner with the children's ministry to hand out close to 400 bottles of water and fruit snacks to the kids and their families at the Heritage Soccer Park. Additionally, flyers were created for the children to invite the kids we encounted to VBS. After we all piled in our cars and journeyed to the park, we pulled up to the gate and saw that it was closed already for the season! Uh oh...now what? So our group reconvened and decided on Plan B which was to go to the baseball field nearby. Well, come to find out, there was a fee to get in plus there was a concession stand that we didn't want to compete with. That left us with Plan C which was to go to Price Chopper and partner with a car wash that was taking place there. Since we had an awesome turnout of volunteers for this event, we decided that we would divide up into groups. One team stayed with the car wash, two teams covered the store entrances and another team headed over to Wal-mart. Even though we had a bit of a rough start, connections were still made!

June Community Connection

This month our group teamed up with the youth to help them out at their car wash. While they scrubbed cars to raise funds for camp, we handed out FREE hot dogs and drinks! It was our special way of honoring fathers for Father's Day. Yes, it was a HOT one but we all still managed to have a great time! Check out the link below to take a peek at what took place! We'd love to have you join us for our upcoming event. Contact the church office to see how you can get involved!

It's Time for a Change!

On March 10th, approximately 24 volunteers signed up to help pass out FREE batteries to our neighboring community. With this event, we were able to touch over 200 people! This simple act of kindness was to remind people to change their batteries in their smoke detectors as they changed their clocks one hour ahead for daylight savings time. We considered it a joy to be able to serve the Lord that day and give Him all of the glory! Below are some photos that were taken.
